The most important key to building a successful network is summarised on this page. There is a myth that you must introduce vast numbers of new ICI Members on your 1st level to build a successful network.

Network Marketing is a “Work Smart” business. If you understand and apply the concept of duplicating your efforts, you should be successful. This simply means that you must be prepared and committed to dedicate quality time and effort to every new member that you introduce on your 1st level. You must therefore be their Mentor.

Remember that you will only have real contact with the people that YOU introduce. You may have limited contact with some of the people that they introduce on your 2nd level, but you will probably never meet the rest of the people below your 2nd level. Therefore it makes sense to ensure that your 1st level is as effective as you are. To be effective, your 1st level people need three things from you.

1. To know that they can trust you and rely on your support in helping them.
2. To teach them how to work smart and build their 1st level like you do.
3. To teach them how to teach their 1st level the way you have taught them.

As the “owner” of your downline, it is your responsibility to continuously identify who the real leaders are and to concentrate on further developing and helping them. Similarly, identify who is not serious about changing their lives so that you do not waste your time trying to help someone who does not want to be helped.

This is the secret in building a successful and profitable network. It is therefore important that you understand that it is not about quantity on your 1st level, but rather spending quality time and effort with everyone that you introduce. Once you are satisfied that they apply what you have shown and taught them and can do it without your full time attention, it is then the time to introduce further ICI Members on your 1st level.
